Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026. This policy explains which personal data I collect through jovanrudic.com, why, who else handles it and what your rights are. It follows the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia (ZZPL) and, because visitors can be in the European Union, the GDPR.

Who is responsible

The controller of your data is Jovan Rudić Vranić, Subotica, Serbia. Email: info@jovanrudic.com.

What I collect, and from where

  • Contact form (contact page): name, email, company name if you enter it, and your message.
  • Hiring form (homepage and the page for hiring teams): name, email, your message and the page you sent it from.
  • Email strips (“Leave your email” on the hiring pages, the details and follow-up strips on the service pages): your email, your question if you write one, and the page you sent it from.
  • Service quiz (Services page): what you are looking for, your choice, name, email, company name if you enter it, and your message.
  • Newsletter (footer): your email address. MailPoet also stores when and from which IP address you signed up and confirmed, and which of my emails you open and which links you click.
  • With every form: the IP address and browser details of the device you send it from, saved with the message.
  • Booking a call (Calendly, on the contact and service pages): what you enter in the calendar goes directly to Calendly, which sends me the booking.
  • Server and security data: like any website, the hosting servers log IP addresses, browser details and the pages requested, to keep the site running and safe.
  • Hosting statistics: my host Pressable counts page views on every site it hosts with a small script from Gauges (secure.gaug.es). It receives your IP address, browser details, the page and the page you came from. It set no cookies in my test.
  • Images load through the Jetpack image service (i0.wp.com, Automattic), which receives your IP address and browser details like any image server.
  • Visitor statistics, only if you accept statistics in the cookie banner: Google Analytics 4 records the pages you visit, how you reached the site, your device and browser, an approximate location and whether you sent a form (only the form name and language, never what you wrote). Jetpack Stats (Automattic) counts page views. Without that consent nothing is sent to Google Analytics; only the file of Google’s tag is loaded from Google’s servers.
  • Cookies: see the Cookie policy.

What happens when you send a form

Your message is saved on the site, a copy goes to my mailbox, and a short alert with the same details goes to my private Telegram chat, so I can reply quickly. Before saving, the form content, your IP address and browser details are checked for spam by Akismet (Automattic). You get a confirmation email, and the service quiz and some strips also send links to my PDF brochures.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your message, preparing an offer, talking about a job: steps you asked for before a possible contract, and your consent when you send the form.
  • Newsletter: your consent, given by confirming the sign-up email. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Spam protection, security, server logs, hosting statistics, the Telegram alert: my legitimate interest in a safe site and in answering you quickly.
  • Visitor statistics (Google Analytics, Jetpack Stats): your consent in the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time with “Manage consent” on the Cookie policy page.
  • Booking a call: steps you asked for before a possible contract. Calendly processes the booking under its own policy.

How long I keep data

  • Form messages, their copies in my mailbox and the Telegram alerts: 12 months after our last contact, unless they lead to a collaboration, then as long as the collaboration and my legal obligations need.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. After that I keep only what is needed to respect your choice.
  • Server logs and hosting statistics: for the limited time set by the hosting provider.
  • Google Analytics: 14 months, then Google deletes it.
  • Akismet and Calendly keep data according to their own policies (links below).

Who receives the data

I don’t sell your data, I don’t share it for advertising, and I don’t build profiles. Only these providers handle it, each for its own part:

  • Pressable / Automattic Inc. (USA): hosting, edge cache, backups, the Jetpack image service and login protection, Akismet spam checks. MailPoet, the newsletter tool, runs on this site, so subscriber data stays with the same host. Automattic privacy policy.
  • Gauges (secure.gaug.es): the statistics service Pressable uses for its hosting traffic reports.
  • My email hosting provider, with its mail server in Germany (EU): receives the copies of form messages and sends the confirmation emails and the newsletter.
  • Telegram (Telegram Messenger): carries the form alerts to my private chat. Telegram privacy policy.
  • Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (EU / USA): Google Analytics 4, only with your statistics consent. Google privacy policy.
  • Calendly LLC (USA): the booking calendar, only when it loads on a page you scroll to. Calendly privacy policy.

Some of these providers are in the USA or other countries outside Serbia and the EU. Each of them explains in its privacy policy how it protects data transferred abroad, for example with standard contractual clauses. I use them only for the purposes above.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, a copy you can take elsewhere, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and you can object to processing or withdraw your consent at any time. Write to info@jovanrudic.com. I answer within one month.

You can also complain to the Serbian Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection (poverenik.rs), or, if you live in the EU, to the data protection authority of your country.

Good to know

  • No automated decisions or profiling are made about you.
  • The site is not meant for children under 16, and I don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

When the site changes the way it handles data, I update this page and its date. The current version is always here.
